As per the Florida Association for Play Therapy (FAPT) Chapter policies and agreements, Section VI, chapters of FAPT are encouraged to provide at least 3 continuing education (CE) hours per year (updated 3/05) to their local area. In order to make this process smoother FAPT has developed a packet for each chapter to use and follow as instructed. Prior approval from the CE Committee must be received before providing workshops in your area.

B. All announcements and materials that inform, promote, or register individuals for approved play therapy training must display this mandatory phrase: The Florida Association for Play Therapy is an approved provider for the Association for Play Therapy to offer continuing education specific to play therapy. APT Provider # 02-115.
C. If requesting ONLY play therapy continuing education, a standard certificate of attendance with the current FAPT CE Chair's signature is available from the chapter’s board members at the end of each workshop for those attending the workshop in its entirety. This standard certificate is specific to those attendees wanting play therapy continuing education hours ONLY and not for any licensing board. Note: Chapter Presidents must requests a copy of this certificate via e-mail at nlbonet1@juno.com.
D. All announcements and materials that inform, promote, or register individuals for approved 490/491 continuing education must display these mandatory phrases: The Florida Association for Play Therapy is approved by the Florida Department of Health under Florida statue 491 to offer continuing education for Social Workers, Marriage and Family therapists and Mental Health Counselors. Provider Number BAP-50-10520 expires 03/31/2011.
The Florida Association for Play Therapy is approved by the Florida Department of Health under FL Statute 490 to offer continuing education for Psychologists. Provider Number BAP-50-10520 expires 05/31/2012.
E. If requesting both play therapy and 490/491 state license continuing education, a standard certificate of attendance with the current FAPT CE Chair's signature will be mailed to the e-mail or mailing address provided on the sign-in/sign-out sheet.
F. Once a workshop has been approved by the CE Committee, a letter and/or e-mail acknowledging approval will be sent by current CE Chair.
G. Chapters are responsible for mailing handouts, agenda, evaluation forms and the original sign-in/sign-out sheets to the current CE Chair.
F. Chapters are responsible for mailing fee balance sheets, the monies collected from the workshop and the receipts for expenses based on budget proposal to the current FAPT Treasurer.
